Aviation GSE: Print media

Back of Business Card Redesign (crop marks included)

As Marketing Lead at Aviation GSE involved a great deal of rebranding through design. The company wanted a new look using their original colours of black, white and red. It was a basic scheme that needed a fresh new look.

The first to be redesigned were their product specification sheets, especially since they were starting off the summer with a new equipment line. I also redesigned company letterhead, forms, brochures and digital media assets in the form of email marketing.

The below are a few examples of my work:

I was also responsible for maintaining the AviationGSE website. Which involved an interactive Product Catalogue, Regular Blog posts, and a careers page.

McEwan raises the bar on ready made

I had been a fan of Chef Mark McEwan for years. He  is a regular on Food Network Canada and has his own show The Heat. He also owns four restaurants and recently opened another  gourmet grocery store location in Toronto. What is now The McEwan Group is a force to be reckoned with, on the saturated Toronto food scene. From Chef McEwan’s story, I learned that ambition and business sense are not hindered by humility and raw talent.

This was no easy interview to get, since Chef McEwan is a very hands-on businessman. But it was worth every unanswered call.

My Portfolio and Blog

What you will see here is just the beginning. Journalism school and work experience has allowed me to accumulate design and writing samples from all over.

My work is also on Behance, Soundcloud, LinkedIn and Twitter. But this site will have the best of the best, all in one place.

You will also find brief reflections on each project I’ve pursued, which has been a large part of my personal growth, and career growth.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re about to. Enjoy!

Foodservice and Foodies meet at the Restaurants Canada Show

This News Event Feature (BEC On-Site) was pursued individually with the approval of Business Elite Canada. All photography and social media sharing (via Instagram and Twitter) courtesy of myself. All text content reviewed by Business Elite Canada Editor-in-Chief.

In pursuing this project, my goal was to build Business Elite Canada’s presence in the food and beverage sector. Attending the Restaurants Canada was the best way to get an in-depth perspective on the collaborative aspects of the Food Industry. This On-Site piece was written after the fact, but while at the press events and throughout the show I was live tweeting and taking interviews and pictures. I didn’t collaborate much with Restaurants Canada, but they were very receptive to the social media exposure (Twitter and Instagram).
